Philosophy Of Education

Founded in 1088, the University of Bologne is considered the primary, and the oldest frequently operating college. Education began in prehistory, as adults skilled the young in the knowledge and expertise deemed needed of their society. In pre-literate societies, this was achieved orally and through imitation. Story-telling handed knowledge, values, and abilities from one era to the following. As cultures started to extend their data past skills that could be readily realized via imitation, formal education developed. Pedagogy must present all college students with the opportunity to reach their potential as learners.
